Today, we honor all veterans. We’d like to especially honor our franchise owners who have served their country with distinction in the Armed Forces.

At U.S. Lawns, we believe military service is excellent preparation for business. That’s why we offer a special program to help veterans join our network. We also recruit men and women seeking careers after tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, because no soldier should return home without a secure future.

Many publications, including USA Today, have named us a Top Franchise for Veterans. Here’s what a few of our veteran franchisees have had to say about their military experience and U.S. Lawns:

Ronnie Christopher, Retired U.S. Air Force, Warner Robbins, Ga.: “I think the Air Force taught me how to communicate. From giving briefings to training others, I am able to talk to the clients and my team members effectively.”

Greg Israel, Retired U.S. Air Force, Macon, Ga.: “The military conditioned me to set high standards and follow procedures. Replicating the U.S. Lawns model equates to following procedures. When you multiply the excellent model by high standards, veterans are uniquely postured to succeed.”

Phil Gay, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran (Purple Heart), Birmingham, Ala.: “Combat taught me to never give up. With U.S. Lawns, you have to be consistent in your performance and never quit when it comes to service or sales.”

Steve DiStefano, Retired U.S. Navy, Richmond, Va.: “I believe my 24 years of military service prepared me for just about everything when starting my own business. Handling adversity, team building, structure, and leadership—these traits have served me well in transitioning from the military to U.S. Lawns.”

We salute all our veterans on this Veterans Day. Today and every day, thank you for your service to this great nation and to U.S. Lawns.
